Yoga is a safe, enjoyable method of exercise during pregnancy and a great way to get back into shape after giving birth. The following instructors offer unique programmes to help enhance health and encourage a beautiful bonding between mother and baby
Yoga4pregnancy
Yoga4pregnancy offers user friendly tools to help relieve physical and emotional discomforts associated with pregnancy including relief from back pain, swollen joints, heartburn, constipation, sleeplessness, depression & anxiety. The class will concentrate on specific breathing techniques and postures helpful during labour
Yoga & Baby Massage
A baby friendly class that encourages mum to continue her practise and deepen the bonding experience with her baby. The focus will be on restoring strength and core stability particularly about the spine, pelvic floor and abdomen. Gentle breathing and meditation techniques will assist with emotional stress and fatigue
Yoga4kids
Using stories and animal shapes these classes awaken the creative potential and helps boost self esteem. Other benefits include: better posture, breathing, spatial awareness, flexibility, general calm and wellbeing. Age groups 4 – 12yrs.
Doctors approval required
Please consult your GP before committing to a regular yoga programme. If you have just had a baby, you must have had your eight week check and the approval of your doctor that you are fit to take part in a yoga exercise class. Particularly if you have undergone a caesarean section.
